DAY 1 (Saturday) Arrive at Abbeyglen Castle Hotel (Four Star) and check into one of our luxury rooms 7:00 pm Attend a Champagne Reception in the hotel's renowned Castle Bar 7:45 pm Dinner in the Abbeyglen's Castle Restaurant Evening Attend a slide show on the archaeology of Connemara presented by Connemara Safari's own full time archaeologist, Gerry Mac Closkey DAY 2 (Sunday) Morning Following a leisurely full Irish breakfast, Connemara Safari's guides will fit out guests with comfortable high specification rain gear. Coach departs for Killary Fjord where guests participate in a low level walk along the old famine road. Lunch: During the walk, guests will enjoy a gourmet lunch including champagne, lobster and smoked salmon whilst viewing the spectacular scenery of the Killary. Afternoon Sail on Galway Hooker from Killary Fjord to Clare Island. Evening: Check into accommodation and after dinner experience a musical evening ashore DAY 3 (Monday) Morning Guided walk on Clare Island Afternoon Sail on Galway Hooker from Clare Island to Inish Turk Evening Check into Paddy O'Toole's Guest House DAY 4 (Tuesday) Morning Guided walk on Inish Turk Lunch Enjoy a gourmet lunch in the local Sheebeen on Inish Turk (Ireland's longest surviving Sheebeen) Afternoon Sail on Galway Hooker from Inish Turk to Caher Island. Explore the remains of an early Christian Monastery, Holy Well and Standing Stones. Evening Romantic evening sail back to Inish Turk, and return to Paddy O'Toole's Guest House for a traditional Irish evening meal followed by traditional Irish music and Céilí dancing DAY 5 (Wednesday) Morning After breakfast, sail on Galway Hooker from Inish Turk to Inish Bofin Afternoon Guided walk on Inish Bofin. Visit an early Christian Monastery (667 AD) and Cromwell's Castle (1656 AD). Evening Check into the Doonmore Hotel for dinner and an evening of story telling DAY 6 (Thursday) Morning After breakfast, sail on Galway Hooker from Inish Bofin to Inish Shark Afternoon Explore Inish Shark Evening Return to Inish Bofin for a gourmet evening meal in Day's Hotel DAY 7 (Friday) Morning After breakfast, sail southwards on Galway Hooker and land on High Island, where you will visit St. Fehin's Monastery and the island's now disused copper mine. Afternoon Continue under sail to arrive at Inish Turk South and Inish Turbot, landing on each island for a short walk. Evening Sail on up Clifden Bay and return to the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel for a gourmet dinner followed by entertainment in the Hotel's Famous Castle Bar. DAY 8 (Saturday) Following breakfast, guests can make their final good byes and depart at their leisure.
